Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has rejected the club's latest offer for a contract renewal, which is reportedly estimated at mijë 200 a week. Rudiger is one of three Chelsea defenders whose contracts expire in the summer, and have yet to agree to sign a new deal. Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen are in the same position.
But the situation created between the club and the German, has caught the attention of rivals Manchester United. The latter are considering making a concrete offer for the player's services, especially now that Real Madrid seems to have reduced interest in Antonio.
The coach of the "Red Devils", Ralf Rangnick, is said to be a big fan of Rudiger. Although Rangnick is expected to leave the coaching role at the end of the season, he will stay with United as a consultant for at least 2 years. This means that the German can push the club executives even more to make a move for Rudiger in the summer.
According to Daily Mail, Rudiger currently earns around mijë 100 a week at Chelsea. The leaders of the London club are still convinced that they can reach an agreement with the player, but the news of the rejection of an offer twice as high as the current one, has made European clubs move.
Real Madrid and PSG have offered Rudiger the possibility of a pre-contract. That of the French is more attractive in terms of financial terms, but it is said that the defender prefers a move to the Spanish capital. But Florentino Perez does not intend to make a better offer, at least for now. This is because the president of the galaxies strongly believes in the prestige that the Los Blancos team has.
