A sensational news has been made public in the last hours by the Italian sports journalist Fabrizio romano. According to the latter, Kylian Mbappe will not join Real Madrid next season, but will stay for at least 1 year with the champions of France, PSG.
The French striker called the president of Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez, to communicate his decision. English media suggest that Mbappe will sign a 3-year contract with the Parisians. Just a few hours earlier, the footballer's mother stated that both offers, like that of Real Madrid, and that of PSG were very similar to each other, and it is now up to Mbappe to make the choice. And it seems that the latter has already made the decision.
Under the new contract, the footballer will stay at the Parc des Princes until 2025. Meanwhile negotiations between the player and the French club are still active for the option of a possible renewal for another 1 or 2 years. PSG is expected to formalize the deal in the coming hours.
Last week Mbappe said the decision on his future would be formalized very soon, ahead of the French national team gathering in June. The PSG superstar said:
"I will announce my decision very soon. Everything is closed. "My choice is almost final."
The footballer joined PSG from the Monaco team in 2017 for the extraordinary figure of 180 million euros. Since then, Mbappe has consolidated his status as one of the most talented stars of world football. The French champions rejected several offers from Real Madrid, the latest in the figure of 200 million euros in last summer market. The news of Mbappe's renewal is a slap in the face to Carlo Ancelotti's team, who were hoping Kylian would land at the Santiago Bernabeu next season.
