The president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, has said that the possibility of Kylian Mbappe joining Real Madrid next season is high. The future of the French superstar has constantly been the subject of speculation, and these have only increased, now that Mbappe's contract is close to expiring at the end of the season. Despite the fact that the Frenchman's next destination is not yet clear, it seems that the choice has always been between Real Madrid and PSG.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Tebas expressed his optimism about a possible transfer of Mbappe to Real Madrid. The president of La Liga said:
"I think the possibility is high. This is a personal opinion. We are talking about a 26-year-old player... It will depend on Real Madrid, the president and what they will be willing to offer. Bellingham's arrival has already given Real a star, Vinicius is another. If he (Mbappe) wants to go to Madrid then I would say there is more than a 50% chance of it happening."
Tebas has also lobbied in the past for Kylian Mbappe to join Real Madrid. The president of La Liga has gone even further with his statements, describing Ligue 1 as a non-competitive championship. The move followed Mbappe's decision to stay at PSG in 2022, despite being closer than ever to a move to Madrid.
Meanwhile, the attacker himself in his last interview has admitted that he has not yet decided on the future. Mbappe has said that at the moment he is focused on PSG. The Parisians still have a lot to fight for this season in Ligue 1, but of course also in the Champions League.
