In-demand Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has admitted he wants to one day play in the Premier League. The striker is among the main targets of Manchester United, but also of other clubs in England, and it is not excluded that the player leaves Napoli during the summer market.
In a recent interview, Osimhen said:
"I think playing in one of the 5 best championships in the world is a fantastic feeling for me. Many people consider the Premier League as the best and strongest league, but now I am in one of the best leagues in the world which is Serie A. I am working hard to make sure that one day I achieve my dream of playing in England, but like I said, it's a process and I want to keep the pace and continue to perform well."
The Nigerian striker has scored a total of 19 times in 21 matches with Napoli in Serie A this season. We remind you that the Neapolitans lead the championship with a full 15 points difference from the closest followers, and according to all likelihood, Osimhen will be declared champion in Serie A for the first time.
Manchester United is the club most interested in the bomber's services, as the "Red Devils" have yet to find a worthy replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who left Old Trafford in January. The English are also monitoring Harry Kane, but Osimhen's age makes him a more popular option for coach Ten Hag.
The Nigerian is considered by many sports analysts to be the perfect player for the English Championship, considering his physical strength, speed and ability to score goals even with his weak foot. It remains to be seen whether Osimhe's next destination will be Old Trafford, or another club in the Premier League.
