Thomas Tuchel could return to the role of coach, and it seems that the German technician has no intention of leaving the Premier League. According to the English media, Tuchel is interested in the position of coach of Tottenham. The former Chelsea coach is seriously thinking about this new adventure and is ready to take the next step, in case the current Tottenham coach, the Italian Conte, leaves the job.
Antonio Conte has never discussed the renewal of the contract with the Londoners, despite the fact that it expires at the end of the season. His contract includes a condition where the club can renew for 1 additional year with the technician. However, this will in all likelihood depend on the performance of Tottenham, whose main objective is to qualify for the Champions League next season.
That won't be easy, with Spurs sitting in fifth place overall and the competition in the Premier League getting tougher. In addition, Conte has several times had friction with the club leaders regarding the policies followed in relation to the market.
Tuchel, meanwhile, is currently free, having been sacked by Chelsea last September. The German's departure was somewhat unexpected, and was accompanied by the appointment of Graham Potter at the head of the Blues bench. Tuchel is thought to have been initially interested in the position of coach of the English national team. However, after the renewal of Gareth Southgate, the German has changed his focus.
though Premier League remains the main option for Tuchel's future, the Spanish La Liga could be another alternative. The 49-year-old is learning Spanish according to English media, but it is not yet known which club may be interested in his services.
