Real Madrid has officially confirmed the approach of French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, from the Monaco team. The 22-year-old was one of the most promising figures in Europe last season. That is why the Spaniards have agreed to pay around 100 million euros for the player's services. The exact figure of the operation has not yet been made official.
Tchouameni will sign a 6-year contract with the club, until 2028. He is expected to undergo medical examinations on Tuesday. The Galaxies have thus managed to secure one of the most vocal talents of the last year, beating PSG, Liverpool and Manchester United, who were also looking for his card. In a statement to the media, the Madrid club announced:
"Next Tuesday, June 14 at 12:00, the presentation ceremony of Aurélien Tchouaméni will take place, after medical examinations. "Aurélien Tchouaméni will then appear in front of the media."
Tchouameni was a very important part of Monaco the season we left behind, contributing with 3 goals and 2 assists. Good performances with his club also gave him the chance to be represented in the French national team. His international adventure is going quite well, as Tchouameni has turned into one of Didier Deschamps's favorite players, being activated as a starter.
The Frenchman is a very creative player, who can be activated in the role of defensive midfielder, but also as a classic center midfielder. This means that Tchouameni can replace Casemiro in his position, but also provide support for the rest of the midfield.
The player is Real Madrid's second approach this summer, after Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger. It is now expected that the Spaniards will start and leave, to create more space in the team. Among the most talked about names to leave are: Dani Ceballos, Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz.
