Manchester City star Raheem Sterling is Milan's youngest target for the summer transfer window. The Italian club is currently in negotiations with the group from Bahrain, Investcorp, which is interested in buying the team's shares. If the deal is formalized this could open a door to endless opportunities for Milan, which could come with a formal offer for Sterling services.
The English national team striker has an active contract until 2023 with Manchester City, This means that the English club must hurry to offer Sterling a contract renewal, or finally decide to sell his card. Otherwise City risks losing the footballer at zero cost next year. The 27-year-old has been a regular starter this season at the Etihad, scoring 14 goals and 7 assists in 40 appearances in total.
According to Journal of Sport if Milan is taken over by the new owners, the Italians will have the opportunity to target more elite players, due to better financial opportunities. Sterling himself has not ruled out the possibility of a transfer to Italy although the player has not yet made known his position.
At the same time, Milan is interested in the services of Marco Asensio and Isco of Real Madrid. Both Spaniards are keen to leave the Santiago Bernabeu as they have not found space in coach Ancelotti's team. Ajax's Sebastien Haller and RB Leipzig's Christopher Nkunku are also Red and Black targets. According to Italian media, the latter are in advanced stages of talks with Liverpool striker Divock Origi and Lille defender Sven Botman.
Milan has won the title 18 times Serie A, but the last red and black trophy in this competition dates back to 2011.
