As his contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the month, Mohamed Salah seems to be seriously considering leaving The Reds. A few weeks ago it was reported that the Egyptian has communicated to his close friends that he is ready to stay back at Liverpool, but things have changed very quickly lately. It all has to do with the interest of the Barcelona Spaniards, who according to the English media have offered a safe place in the team to the talented striker.
Negotiations for a contract renewal with Liverpool have stalled since last summer, but the situation did not make much fuss given the context of the time. But June came very quickly and Liverpool still do not agree on the financial demands of the player. The latter is of the opinion that his current salary at "The Reds" is not enough considering the level of performance that Salah has produced this season. Club executives meanwhile are reluctant to disrupt the team's pay structure, but still hope to find a middle ground. The situation becomes even more complicated considering that the footballer can leave very easily at zero cost, which would constitute a big loss for the English club.
Liverpool executives hope to renew the coach Klopp by 2026 with the team, serve as an additional factor in convincing Salah to stay at Anfield. The same goes for Sadio Mane, who is in exactly the same position as the Egyptian. But Klopp does not think his decision will have an impact. Germany said:
"This is more of an issue for the boys (Salah and Mane). "My relationship with them is fantastic.… If it's a good sign, but I do not think it will be a decisive factor in any decision they make."
