The Italians of Milan have finally reached an agreement with the talent of Club Brugge, Charles De Ketelaere. The Reds have been in pursuit of the attacker throughout the summer, while there has been no lack of interest from Premier League clubs such as Leicester City or Leeds. However, it seems that De Ketelaere has chosen Milan, taking into account the fact that the Italians will play in Champions League next season.
According to the prestigious 90min, the personal terms of the contract between the player and the new club have been agreed upon for a long time. However, the negotiations between Milan and Club Brugge were stopped for financial reasons. The sporting director of Milan, Paolo Maldini, traveled to Belgium a short time ago, to reach an agreement for the striker's services. But this attempt was not successful at that time.
However, the clubs have finally reached an agreement and Milan is expected to pay the Belgians 31 million euros for the services of Charles De Ketelaere. In addition to the initial amount, the Reds and Blacks will also pay 4 million euros in bonuses. The talented striker will soon undergo a routine medical before being officially presented as a Milan player.
De Ketelaere is the fourth approach for Milan in this summer market. Junior Messias and Alessandro Florenzi played on loan during the season we left behind, but will now sign a regular contract with the red and blacks. The reigning Serie A champions also signed Divock Origi, who came to the San Siro on a free transfer from Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Milan has been linked with other interesting names such as Chelsea's Hakim Ziyech. The latter seems to have lost his starting role in Tuchel's team, and is keen to seek a new adventure elsewhere. However, the clubs have not yet been involved in official talks.
