Cristiano Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, is in talks with Italians Napoli, for a possible transfer of the Portuguese to Italy. The agreement may also include the card of the Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. The latter is a player who is adored by the management of the Red Devils, and this could make it easier to reach a deal.
According to Sky Italy, Jorge Mendes is working hard to offer Ronaldo the solution he wants, to play in the Champions League; and at the same time, offer United a replacement. The problem lies in the fact that the Neapolitans demand at least 100 million euros for Osimhen's card, and this seems a rather high figure for the English, even if Ronaldo is included in the deal. Especially considering that United plans to invest around 100 million euros for Antony's Ajax card.
Napoli, meanwhile, have shown interest in Ronaldo since CR7 expressed his desire to leave Old Trafford in the summer. The Portuguese, meanwhile, will have to accept a big pay cut if he wants to join the Italian club. United meanwhile could save a lot of funds by removing Ronaldo's salary from the spending list. However, details are still scarce and a concrete plan to make the transfer possible does not exist.
Mendes has also proposed another alternative to pave the way for Ronaldo's departure from United. The second scenario involves AC Milan and winger Rafael Leo in a possible deal. However, according to sports journalist Gianluca di Marzio, this idea has been rejected by the leaders of Milan.
Given the limited options, a move for Ronaldo from United is unlikely to happen in the final days of the transfer window, and the Portuguese could leave in January.
