Chelsea and Newcastle are monitoring former Manchester City striker Brahim Diaz. The Real Madrid player is currently playing his third season on loan with Italians Milan, and English media are suggesting that the player could be ready for a new adventure in the summer.
Diaz spent a full 4 seasons at Manchester City, but unfortunately he never managed to debut with the first team. The forward then joined Real Madrid in 2019, but spaces at the Santiago Bernabeu were also limited.
However, Diaz has found a starting place with AC Milan in Italy, and was part of the team that won the championship last season. Moreover, Diaz was quite important in Milan's victory in the Champions League against Tottenham, as the player scored the only goal of the challenges, leading the Reds and Blacks to a historic qualification.
The Italian club have the option to buy the striker outright for £19.5m, but Real also have the right to buy the player back for £24m under his current contract. However, the Spaniards do not seem interested in taking this step, and this gives even more room for action to Chelsea and Newcastle.
Meanwhile, the London Blues have decided to offer N'Golo Kante the option of a new contract, despite the repeated injuries the player has suffered. It is learned that the French midfielder will have to sign a contract of 2 years, plus the option for renewal and for an extra year.
His current contract with Chelsea expires at the end of the season, but it seems the club still believe in the French talent. Kante has not been active for Chelsea since August last year, and is expected to be ready to return to the green pitches in the final weeks of the current season.
