Despite the disappointing results that seem to have no end, the coach of Manchester United, Erik ten Hag, has expressed that he still has faith in his players. According to the Dutch technician, the players are determined to fight to pass this difficult moment in the club's history. We remind you that the "Red Devils" were eliminated from the Carabao Cup after losing 3-0 to Newcastle, while they have not convinced with their results, neither in the Premier League nor in Europe.
In a press interview, Ten Hag commented on the situation:
"They (players) want to fix this situation. We know the standards here and we have to fight for them every day. We will continue to fight. The players are strong, the coaches are strong, this coach is strong."
Meanwhile, recently, words have circulated in the English media that there are conflicts and disagreements among United players. However, Ten Hag has dismissed those claims, referring to United's upset win over Brentford as proof of his team's unity. The Dutchman added:
"Remember the battle we had against Brentford and the overturning of the result. If there was no fighting spirit in the dressing room we would not have succeeded."
The United manager also confirmed the bad news that Casemiro has been added to the long list of injuries the Red Devils are suffering. The Brazilian will be sidelined for several weeks due to an injury picked up in the defeat to Newcastle. However, Ten Hag did not want to justify the team's performances with the many injuries, saying that United must win and there should be no excuses.
The Dutchman accepted his responsibility and said that he is not thinking about the January market, as he is convinced of the quality of his team.
