The coach of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, has given details on the condition of Erling Haaland, after the slight injury that the latter received in the challenge against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. The Norwegian was replaced at halftime due to a leg injury. However, Guardiola has confirmed once again that it is not a serious problem. The Spaniard commented to the media on the eve of City's challenge against Sevilla:
"Erling will not be available for tomorrow. He feels better compared to Saturday and Sunday, but still not 100%. We don't want to take a risk, it doesn't make sense. Hopefully he will be ready for the challenge against Fulham."
Haaland was not available in the challenge against Leicester, but still, the "citizens" managed to secure a narrow victory thanks to De Bruyne's goal. The Norwegian striker has scored a total of 22 goals in his first 15 meetings with Manchester City, an incredible record. Pep Guardiola's men will face Sevilla at home in the final challenge of the group stage of the Champions League.
The English have already secured first place in the group, and apart from Haaland, Guardiola is expected to rest some of the other starters. City will play against Fulham on Saturday in the championship, in a very important challenge. "Citizens" cannot forgive themselves a false step, if they seek not to lose the pace of Arsenal, who currently leads the Premier League with 31 points, 2 less than City.
Meanwhile, Guardiola revealed his plans for the World Cup, as he said he plans to rest during the World Cup in Qatar, and follow the matches from home. City players who will not take part in the World Cup are expected to travel to Abu Dhabi for a warm-weather training session.
