Bayern Munich has marked the "dream replacement" for Robert Lewandowski, and it is about Tottenham's bomber, Harry Kane. After the departure of the Polish striker to Barcelona, the Bavarian club has had the difficult task of finding a replacement at the same level as Lewandowski.
The director and former legendary goalkeeper of Bayern Munich, Oliver Kahn, has mentioned the name of Kane, describing him as a dream for the future of the German club. Kahn said to the prestigious Bild:
"He (Kane) still has an active contract with Tottenham. He is an outstanding striker, but this remains a dream for the future... For now we have to put the team together for the current season. So let's see what happens."
The captain of the English national team is expected to stay with Spurs this season, despite the desire to leave that Kane showed last season. Coach Antonio Conte seems to have made up his mind for the striker to continue his adventure at Tottenham, thanks to the team's qualification to the Champions League.
Kane has two years left on his current contract with Tottenham, and club president Daniel Levy is keen to discuss a contract renewal with the bomber. But the situation becomes very interesting next year, if Kane does not accept the renewal. The pressure on the English club will increase as their most prized asset could leave for next to nothing. Much will depend on Tottenham's performance in the new season. Kane has openly stated on several occasions that his main objective is to win trophies, and Spurs have failed to do so so far. Bayern Munich, on the other hand, are serial winners and it is impossible that the bomber of the "2 Lions" will not be tempted by the possible offer of the Germans.
