Borussia Dortmund talent Erling Haaland will most likely be one of the big protagonists of the summer market. The Norwegian striker has decided to leave the German club, despite Dortmund's strong efforts to keep him on the team. This is because Haaland wants to start a new adventure, in a more ambitious club.
Offers have not been lacking for the striker, who is the target of the biggest European clubs. His agent, Mino Raiola is negotiating with several clubs, but the latter, prefers Barcelona as the next destination for the footballer. This is due to the good relationship that the agent has with the president of the club, Joan Laporta.
However, Haaland's wish does not appear to be in line with his agent's plans. The striker prefers a move to the Premier League, or a transfer to Real Madrid galaxies. The latter have already made public their interest in the Dortmund star. President Florentino Pérez is willing to pay for the footballer's card and his salary. Certain sources suggest that Pérez could fearlessly remove Benzema from the club, to give Haaland more space.
This offer could become even more tempting for the Norwegian given that he could play alongside Kylian Mbappe. The latter's contract with PSG expires next summer. This means that in June, Mbappe could join Real Madrid at zero cost.
But what is Mino Raiola's plan to convince Haaland to join Barcelona and not Real Madrid or another club? The agent has promised the player that at Barca he will be the main superstar and the successor of Leo Messi. While at Real Madrid, he will be forced to share space and attention with other stars, potentially Kylian Mbappe.
It remains to be seen how big the impact of the Spanish super-agent will be on Haaland.
