Following the somewhat surprise sacking of Graham Potter on Sunday, Chelsea are already on the hunt for a new manager. With the season at its peak, the London Blues must look for a worthy replacement at the top of the bench, and there seems to be no shortage of alternatives.
According to sports journalist Guillem Balague, former coach of Bayern Munich, Julian Nagelsmann, is among the main favorites to take over the London club. However, the German technician has also been linked with Tottenham, as the spurs are also looking for an elite coach.
Nagelsmann was suddenly sacked by Bayern Munich, but the German media had always hinted at problems between him and some of Bayern's veterans in the dressing room. However, this does not diminish the values of the German technician, who in 2018 rejected an offer from Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, another potential name for Chelsea's bench is that of Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine coach has recorded successful adventures with Espanyol, Southampton and Tottenham, and knows the English championship very well. Pochettino is currently not in charge of any club, after leaving PSG in the summer.
Luis Enrique it's an unusual name perhaps but the Spanish coach is seriously interested in an adventure in the Premier League. This has been confirmed by Guillem Balagu. The journalist said:
"He (Enrique) only reads English media. He will work in the Premier League, but there is a problem. There are not many jobs that Enrique would take on as he looks for a team that can win trophies or do interesting things, and that limits the list of possibilities."
Meanwhile, among other potential names for the role of Chelsea coach are Zinedine Zidane and Antonio Conte, but the latter are not in a hurry for a new adventure.
