Manchester United has been defeated again in the Premier League, this time in a transfer against West Ham with the result 2-0. This was the eighth defeat of the season for coach Ten Hag's men, and it seems that the crisis is deepening at Old Trafford.
It took a full 72 minutes for the first goal of the challenge to come, when Lucas Paqueta provided a fantastic assist for Jarrod Bowen, who with a bit of luck managed to beat goalkeeper Onana to score the first goal for West Ham. Then, just 6 minutes later, Mohammed Kudus capitalized on Kobbie Mainoo's mistake at the back, grabbing the ball and beating Onana again with a well-timed shot into the bottom corner of the net.
Manchester United, meanwhile, have already won only 1 of their last 5 matches. At the end of the challenge, coach Ten Hag said that everyone should take responsibility for the difficult situation. On the other hand, the scorer of the first goal for West Ham, Jarrod Bowen, also commented on the match. Bowen was happy about the victory, as he defined the objectives that the club should have according to him:
"We must be at least in the first 6 teams in the ranking. But I think when you look at the top 10 teams in the rankings today, you realize that the race is more open than ever. Aston Villa, Brighton, Chelsea, they are all strong teams. The only thing we can do is win our games, but we want to be at least among the top 6 teams, obviously."
The home win now puts West Ham in sixth place in the Premier League table. Meanwhile, Manchester United is in 8th place, far from the expectations of the fans, but also of coach Ten Hag himself.
