Jurgen Klopp will no longer be Liverpool manager next season. The news was announced by the club itself, which posted an interview with Klopp on social networks, where the German revealed the reasons for his decision. The technician stated that he no longer has the necessary energy to continue his work at the head of Liverpool, which he described as quite difficult. We remember that Klopp was put in charge of Liverpool in 2015, while his contract is expected to expire in 2026.
The German coach said:
"I informed the club in November. I understand that the decision is a shock to many people right now when they hear it for the first time, but I can explain it, or at least try to explain it. I love absolutely everything about this club, about the city, our fans, the team, the staff... But again I have made this decision and it shows that I am convinced that it is the right decision to make."
Klopp added:
"At the moment I am running out of energy. I don't have a problem now, I knew there would come a point where I would have to let him know, but for now I'm fine. But I know I can't do this job again and again."
The German was asked if he would continue to coach in the future, and despite the need for a break, Klopp said he does not know how he will feel after the break. However, Jurgen was careful to point out that he will never manage another English club, apart from Liverpool in the future. This also raised questions of a possible return to Anfield in the future, like that of Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. However, Klopp has also ruled out this possibility.
