Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has said that he does not understand the attitude of many people, who refuse the vaccine against Covid 19. The statement came after the publication of interesting statistics in Premier League, where so far, less than half of all club players have been vaccinated. The German coach said that 99% of Liverpool players have been vaccinated, and has not been the one who has filled their minds. Klopp said:
"I do not understand why they say that the vaccine violates freedom. Because if so, we can say the same thing about alcohol consumption when we drive. It is something we have accepted. I got the vaccine because I was worried about myself but also others around me. If I get the virus and suffer from it, it's my fault. "If I take it and distribute it to others, it is again my fault, not theirs."
This week it became known that the Premier League is considering the idea of rewarding clubs in which the number of vaccinated players is higher. This is because vaccination is clearly becoming a mandatory condition, and for many government authorities in England. In an email sent to the teams, English championship officials revealed that only 7 teams have managed to vaccinate more than 50% of their players.
Klopp meanwhile repeated:
"I can say that we are 99% vaccinated. There was no need to convince the players, it was a decision the team made naturally. I do not remember talking to any player to persuade him to get the vaccine, as I am not a doctor. "I would do my best to give them my advice, but in this case it was not necessary."
