Victor Osimhen's agent, Roberto Calenda, has threatened the Napoli club with legal action, after the Italian's latest post on social networks. The managers of the club posted a humorous video which was centered on their own striker Osimhen. In the video, a funny loud voice can be heard saying "give me a penalty please" and the Nigerian can be seen missing a spot kick. The post was deleted by Napoli's social media managers, but it seems the incident won't go over so easily.
Osimhen's agent, Roberto Calenda, expressed on the X social network:
"We have the right to take legal steps to protect Osimha. What happened today on Napoli's official profile on the TikTok platform is unacceptable. A video mocking Osimhen was made public, and has now been deleted. This is something that causes serious damage to the player, at a time when the guy is suffering from media trials and fake news."
Osimhen was seen nervous with the coach of Napoli, Rudi Garcia, when the latter decided to replace the attacker in the 86th minute of the meeting, in the challenge against Bologna. The match ended in a goalless draw. Meanwhile, later, coach Garcia stated that he clarified the situation with the striker in the locker room, and there is no disagreement or serious problem between them.
The Napoli superstar was one of the most talked about names in the summer transfer window, despite the fact that he ultimately decided to stay in Italy. Manchester United and Chelsea were the two most linked clubs with his name, and the interest of English teams is expected to be the same in the next market. It remains to be seen whether Osimhen's grievances will influence his potential departure from the reigning Serie A champions.
