Tottenham have expressed an interest in Genoa centre-back Koni De Winter, according to information from English media. De Winter, a Belgian international, is valued at £21.5m by his current club, following a permanent transfer from Juventus last summer, following a loan spell in Turin.
De Winter is also on the radar of Inter Milan, who could face Spurs in the Champions League this season. The 23-year-old came through Juventus' academy and made just two appearances for the first team before being loaned to Empoli in the 2022/23 season, then moving to Genoa in a deal that included an obligation to buy.
He finished last season with 26 appearances, however, he spent several weeks on the bench due to a calf injury. De Winter has also played four games for Belgium and has participated in two 2026 World Cup qualifiers so far. De Winter has made 68 appearances in Serie A.
Tottenham are looking to strengthen their defence this summer, especially after the announcement that Jarrad Branthwaite has signed a new contract with Everton. Another young defender, Luka Vuskovic, has also arrived at Spurs from Hajduk Split in a deal that was agreed almost two years ago.
However, Spurs have seen their £50m bid for Mohammed Kudus rejected by West Ham, with Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze now on the radar. Antoine Semenyo is also on the list of targets, but he has just extended his contract with Bournemouth until 2030.
