Marcus Rashford and Jude Bellingham have been reunited by coach Southgate, for the Qatar World Cup Qualifiers 2022. The "3 Lions" will conclude their qualifiers with the final meetings against Albania and San Marino.
Meanwhile, it seems that Southgate has left out Jadon Sancho, and his teammate at Manchester United, Jesse Lingard. England will face Albania at Wembley, on November 12.
Afterwards, the Southgate trustees will travel to San Marino. Both meetings seem easy for the English, who are at the top of Group I with 20 points. Anyway, Gareth will have to be careful, as second place Poland has only 3 points less. Mathematically, England need 4 points, from the last 2 games to secure a place in the 2022 World Cup.
Another heavyweight player returning to the national team is Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold. The latter played brilliantly in the victory his team achieved against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. The last time Arnold was active with the English national team was on 5 September. His aggregation is a sign that Gareth Southgate, knows that his defense should give its best in these 2 challenges.
Rashford, meanwhile, has not played for the "3 Lions" since the Euro 2020 final, where Italy managed to snatch the English title from the champions. As for the absence of Lingard and Sancho, this is thought to have come as a result of the inconsistent form the players have displayed with their club. Regular deactivation has also had its impact on the Southgate decision.
