Southampton is in talks with Chelsea, to finally buy the card of the Albanian football player Armando Broja, who plays as a loan player from the London Blues. The striker has impressed with his appearances, since arriving at St Mary Stadium. So far, Broja has scored 5 goals in Premier League since the start of the season, and coach Ralph Hasenhüttl is convinced of the Albanian potential.
It remains to be seen if Broja is in Chelsea's long-term plans, and the situation needs to be further clarified this week. This is because Southampton know full well that the player has captured the interest of several other clubs, and this will prompt Chelsea executives to make a decision on Armando Broja.
The striker, who spent last season on loan at Vitesse in the Netherlands, has been an ardent Chelsea fan since childhood. This is explained by the fact that the player is a product of the academy of the London club. Broja made his professional debut with Chelsea in 2020, during the time when the team was led by Frank Lampard. His current contract with the club expires in 2026.
Within Chelsea's environment there is a perception that the player will be given a chance, to fight for a place in the first team, if no agreement is reached on his transfer elsewhere this month. The team fans want the same, as they have witnessed how the players who came out of the academy, have become superstars of the European arena. Among them we can mention Mason Mount, Reece James, Trevoh Chalobah and Callum Hudson-Odo.
The Chelsea strikers have not been consistent with their performances this season, and this could also help Broja, on his mission to play regularly with the Londoners.
