Dusan Vlahovic has said that the decision to choose Juventus instead of Arsenal, as his next destination, has been quite easy. Prior to the transfer to Turin, the Serbian striker was one of the main targets of Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta. But the former Fiorentina player decided to join him "Old Lady", in a deal that fetched the figure of milionë 58 million.
The 22-year-old, who scored 20 goals for Fiorentina during the first half of the season, has signed a 4-year contract with Juventus. During his presentation, Vlahovic gave the first comments on the new adventure. Serbia declared:
"I am excited and proud to have signed with Juventus. I am ready to give everything for this great club to achieve its goals. There was a lot of gossip about foreign clubs, but the choice was easy because Juventus and I have the same AND. "War and suffering when I have to are my mentality, so the decision to come here was not difficult."
Vlahovic added:
"I want to thank the president and everyone else who made this move possible. I spoke with Federico Chiesa before making this decision. We were teammates at Fiorentina. I'm very sorry that he is injured, but we will wait for his return. I want to thank everyone at Fiorentina who helped me mature, and become the player I am today. Being a role model for others at age 22 is weird. "I'm still young and I have not recovered from what is happening around me."
Vlahovic has often been described as one of the most promising young talents in the European football arena. The striker is compared to Kylian Mbappe dhe Erling Haaland, but in his press release he said he would follow his path.
