Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool appear to be already in a fierce race to secure the signature of Juventus ace Federico Chiesa. The new coach of the "old lady", Thiago Motta, has given the green light for the possible departure of Chiesa, in the case of a satisfactory financial offer for the Italians.
The value of Chiesa's card is around 25-30 million euros, and according to the English media, Tottenham is the team that is currently leading the race to get the striker. The leaders of the London club were interested in Chiesa in the January transfer window, but could not secure a deal in that period. However, this time the situation seems more favorable for Tottenham. The club's agents are said to have a pretty good relationship with Chiesa's representatives. Also, Fabio Paratici can help the parties to find a chord between them. Paratici was the person who brought Chiesa to Juventus, and the latter has also held the role of sporting director at Tottenham.
Despite the 52-year-old stepping down from his role at Tottenham, he is still in touch with key figures at the club. Paratici has a good relationship with club president Daniel Levy, and is seen as an influential figure at Spurs, despite not being an official part of the club anymore.
However, Tottenham will not find it entirely easy to approach Chiesa, as the road has several obstacles. Juventus could instigate a financial war between several clubs, considering the huge interest in the Italian. Apart from Arsenal and Liverpool, several clubs from Saudi Arabia have also expressed their interest in Chiesa and this could complicate the situation. However, sources close to the player say the striker is not yet ready to play in Saudi Arabia, despite the financial benefits.
