Manchester United bosses appear to have agreed personal terms with Bologna's Dutch talent Joshua Zirkzee. According to English media sources, the "Red Devils" and the player have reached a personal agreement, and now the two clubs must find an agreement in terms of finances and other details of the agreement. The forward has a release clause of £2m, a figure that is well within United's financial means.
The coach of the club, Erik ten Hag, sees the player's approach to Old Trafford as quite important. Last season Manchester United struggled to finish off the chances they created, as Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund struggled through the season. Zirkzee meanwhile impressed with his performances for Bologna in Serie A, and the Dutchman has even more opportunities to improve as a player in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, United are not the only club in the race for the services of the talented striker. Arsenal are monitoring the situation, while Milan in Italy are also looking to land the striker. The Reds, however, are exploring other options in terms of attack, as it will be difficult for them to compete with Manchester United.
In terms of his own player preference, Zirkzee also favors a move to Old Trafford. This is also due to coach Ten Hag who has faith in his abilities. With pre-season games for most clubs starting from next week, United's leaders want to close Zirkzee's transfer as soon as possible. However, the officialization of the Dutchman is still far away. The "Red Devils" board is also working on other targets in the market, among them Jarrad Branthwaite and Matthijs de Ligt.
