Fulham are preparing a bid for Fluminense's Brazilian talent, midfielder Andre. The latter is also on the radar of Liverpool and Manchester United, but it appears that Fulham have left the English Premier League giants behind in the race for Andre's services. This followed a visit by the club's chief executive, Alistair Mackintosh, to Brazil to meet with the player's representatives.
Mackintosh was present at the Maracana stadium, where the final of the Copa Libertadores between Fluminense and Boca Juniors was played. It was Andre who led his club to triumph in the prestigious competition, and this convinced Fulham's management even more of his talent. Talks over a possible deal between the clubs are still ongoing, and the player's fee is estimated at £30m.
A move in January is more likely to happen, as the Brazilian championship ends in December and Fluminense leaders find it easier to let go of their midfielder. However, Fulham has prepared other scenarios, in case Andre's transfer does not materialize. One of the other names on Fulham's list is Wolfsburg's Jonas Wind. Although Wing has a more clear offensive profile, he can also successfully perform other tasks on the green field.
Fulham manager Marco Silva has signed a new contract with the club, valid until 2026. This will likely mean that the manager will be supported by the board in terms of transfer requirements, and as Andre , as well as Wind are quite preferred by Silva.
Fulham's current attacking options include Carlos Vinicius, Raul Jimenez and Rodrigo Muniz, but all of the aforementioned players have failed to make the impact expected of them in front of goal.
