Aston Villa are considering a loan move for Chelsea star Joao Felix. The Blues striker has become a target for Villa in recent days, with the club having already signed two new players this winter, Donyell Malen and Andres Garcia. Chelsea are ready to accept offers for Joao Felix, who has struggled to settle in London since joining from Atletico Madrid.
However, Villa may find it difficult to reach an agreement with Chelsea. This is due to the fact that the club have managed to find a deal for another Chelsea player, defender Axel Disasi. Under the rules of the winter transfer window, Villa can only sign 1 player on loan, and if this applies to Disasi, Felix cannot join Villa.
Another problem for a potential transfer of Felix is the player's current contract with Chelsea. The Portuguese has signed a contract valid until 2030, and even a loan transfer would not be easy to achieve.
Since joining Chelsea, Felix has managed to score 7 goals in 20 appearances for the Blues. However, the striker has failed to secure a starting place, starting only 3 times as such in the Premier League. Disasi on the other hand has not been activated in any of Chelsea's last 4 Premier League matches. This, despite injuries to Fofana and Badiashile. In all likelihood, a transfer to Aston Villa is now just a matter of time. Disasi will be a much-needed addition for coach Emery, considering the injury crisis in the defense. Pau Torres and Tyrone Mings are injured and Konsa is the only starter at Villa, who is available in the center of defense.
