Arsenal managers are closely monitoring the situation of Dusan Vlahovic at Juventus, as the talks between the Serbian attacker and the Italian club for contract renewal are not going in the right direction. Arsenal have long pursued Vlahovic, and the latter is one of the names on the London club's list of new approaches in the upcoming summer transfer window. English media have reported that this list also includes Benjamin Sesko, Viktor Gyokeres, Alexander Isak, Jonathan David and Marcus Thuram.
As for Vlahovic, the player's current contract with Juventus expires in 2026. At Arsenal, they believe that if the Serbian does not renew until the end of the season, they can secure his card for a fairly good figure. This is as Juventus may be forced to sell Vlahovic, in order not to lose one of the club's best assets at zero cost. Arsenal managers believe they can secure the services of Vlahovic for less than 60 million euros, in case the Serbian bomber does not decide to renew.
Mikel Arteta's side are clearly in need of more attacking firepower, with Kai Havertz playing out of his natural position, while Gabriel Jesus has repeatedly shown injury problems. Regarding Vlahovic's potential approach, many Arsenal fans have expressed their skepticism on social media, highlighting the fact that the Serbian has not been at his best consistently since his move to Juventus from Fiorentina.
The player could fit better in the system of coach Mikel Arteta, who is known for reviving players' careers. However, for many Arsenal fans, Sesko, Isak or Gyokeres are better options in the attacking department.
