Real Madrid are in an advanced stage of talks with Borussia Dortmund talent Jude Bellingham. The Spanish giants are known to have agreed on personal terms with the Englishman, and will secure his services for the amount of 100 million euros.
The midfielder joined Borussia Dortmund in 2020 from Birmingham City, and has excelled with his performances in the Bundesliga ever since. Bellingham was also one of England's best players at the World Cup in Qatar. Real Madrid are willing to pay €100 million for the services of the Dortmund ace, despite the German club's leaders being thought to be demanding around €150 million for the Englishman.
In Spain, they are convinced that Bellingham will join Real at the end of this season, but Manchester City are still in the running for the player's services. This is the reason why the leaders of Real Madrid are trying to formalize the agreement as soon as possible, to avoid last-minute surprises. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has recently heaped praise on the Borussia Dortmund talent, hinting at his desire to have him at the club.
Liverpool, on the other hand, has withdrawn from the race for Bellingham's card. The main reason is thought to be the high financial cost of the operation, as well as the difficult moment that "The Reds" are going through. Liverpool's own coach, Jurgen Klopp, said that the club's interest in Bellingham is like "a child asking for a Ferrari for Christmas", thus illustrating Liverpool's impossibility to be part of the competition.
The midfielder has played 40 games for Dortmund this season, managing to score 11 goals and 7 assists.
