Londoners Arsenal are in contact with Barcelona over the possibility of transferring Raphinha and Ferran Torres to the Emirates. According to the reports of 90min, Mikel Arteta has been looking for a winger since the summer transfer window, and attempts so far have failed.
Arsenal showed concrete interest in Raphinha last summer, but the offer of the "gunners" did not convince the player. The Brazilian left Leeds to join Barcelona, rejecting Chelsea in the process. Arsenal's main target in this transfer window was Ukrainian Mykhaylo Mudryk, but now that the latter has joined Chelsea, the club's leaders have been involved in intensive discussions with Barcelona to explore other options.
Raphinha and Ferran Torres are quite concrete alternatives, as both players are going through a fluctuating period at Barcelona. Neither of them has been able to consolidate a starting role, while Barcelona's financial difficulties could still make it easier for Arsenal to reach a deal for at least one of the wingers.
In the event that none of the players are available for a transfer, Arsenal leaders have a plan B in mind. It is about Brighton winger Leandro Trossard. The latter has asked to leave his current club, news that has been confirmed by the football player's agent. Arsenal can secure the Belgian's card more easily, but at the moment the club leaders are more focused on Raphinha and Torres.
At the same time, the "gunners" are also monitoring Napoli's talent, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The latter has impressed with his outstanding performances in the Italian championship. However, Napoli have no intention of letting the player go easily. The Italians are asking around 100 million pounds for the Georgian's card, a figure that, in all probability, Arsenal is not ready to pay at this moment.
