Casemiro's Manchester United career appears to have taken a new turn, although interest from Saudi club Al Ittihad remains strong. His former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema had expressed his desire to see the Brazilian in the Al Ittihad team, but for now, Casemiro is solidifying his position at Manchester United.
After a string of poor performances at the end of Erik ten Hag's tenure, Casemiro has managed to become an integral part of new coach Ruben Amorim's plans. A reliable source has revealed that Amorim has positioned the Brazilian as a playmaker, giving him important responsibilities in both the defensive and attacking phases.
But Manchester United will not be in a hurry to let Casemiro go. Casemiro has a contract with Manchester United until 2026, and the club are not waiting to let him go without finding a suitable replacement. The 33-year-old is also not looking to leave, on the contrary, he wants to continue playing at a high level ahead of next summer's 2026 World Cup.
However, Al Ittihad are expected to make another bid for Casemiro in January and could offer a hefty salary to convince the player. If he leaves, his contract expires at the end of the season, but the current plan is for him to remain at Manchester United until then. Manager Amorim will need to rebuild Manchester United's midfield in the future, but for now, he seems to value the presence of this proven and experienced player in the team.
