Manchester United have set a price tag of £30m for Andre Onana, but the Cameroonian goalkeeper looks set to stay at Old Trafford this summer. That was the price quoted to Monaco when the French club expressed an interest in signing Onana late last month. Sources in France suggest Monaco will continue to monitor the situation but are unlikely to pay that much for the 29-year-old, who cost United £47.2m when he joined from Inter Milan two years ago.
SC Neom, a new team in the Premier League, have also been tracking Andre Onana for a long time, before signing Marcin Bulka from Nice in recent days. Onana is keen to stay and club sources say he is likely to remain United's No. 1 after returning to training at Carrington. Manager Ruben Amorim and goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital are pleased with his performance, despite speculation over a move for Emi Martinez from Aston Villa.
However, with United having to move into the transfer market to make the signings Amorim wants this summer, almost every player is for sale for the right price, and offers in the region of £30m for Andre Onana will be considered. Goalkeeping is not one of United's priority positions in this transfer window, with Amorim more likely to target a striker, a central midfielder and a centre-back.
United hope to generate significant funds by selling Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia, all of whom have been told to stay away from training until the team departs for their pre-season tour of the US later this month.
