Manchester United have added a new name to their list of players they are looking to sign in midfield, and that name is Aleksandar Pavlovic, the talented Bayern Munich midfielder. Pavlovic has impressed at the Allianz Arena, but there is plenty of competition in Bayern's midfield. Manchester United are now keeping an eye on his situation, in case he decides to seek a move to play a more prominent role.
However, it looks like the Red Devils will struggle to secure his signature, with Bayern demanding around €80m to let him go. United are in need of a new signing in midfield, and Pavlovic would seem to fit in well. A source said: "United see Pavlovic as an option to replace Casemiro", while Manuel Ugarte is also not considered a long-term option. A January transfer seems unlikely, but he will be a player to watch next summer.
It's easy to see Pavlovic as an upgrade over Casemiro and Ugarte, but Manchester United won't have it easy to pull off this deal. There are other names on United's radar, such as Carlos Baleba and Adam Wharton, but Pavlovic will be an interesting name to follow.
Pavlovic, 21, will have other admirers if he leaves Bayern, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain also in the running for him. Do you see Pavlovic moving on, or do you think he will stay at Bayern?
