AC Milan are interested in signing Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund. After scoring a goal in a friendly against Bournemouth, Hojlund stressed that he wants to stay at Old Trafford despite increased competition for his place in the team. He has said he is committed to the club, however, the situation could change after RB Leipzig signed Benjamin Sesko, who is expected to be presented before the friendly against Fiorentina.
Sesko will likely be the new starter at the heart of United's attack, putting Rasmus Hojlund in a very difficult position.
Several clubs have expressed interest in Rasmus Hojlund, 23, with Manchester United reportedly ready to negotiate a move for him. Milan are reportedly interested in an initial loan deal for €4m, with an option to buy for €40m next summer. That initial offer could prove to be a stumbling block for United, who are expected to get more clarity on the situation in the coming weeks.
Milan will start the new Serie A season against Cremonese on August 23. A name like Rasmus Hojlund could be the perfect reinforcement for the Italians, considering the striker's experience in the Italian championship. Hojlund was part of Atalanta, where he stood out with his performances. It was precisely these good performances that secured the striker a transfer to Old Trafford, but the player was unable to replicate the same form in the Premier League. It remains to be seen what the fate of the striker will be this new season.
