Liverpool leaders appear to be increasingly interested in Bayern Munich talent Jamal Musiala. The German is also being monitored by Manchester City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. The player is approaching the final year of his current contract with Bayern, and despite the club believing the forward will sign the renewal, anything can happen, given the high interest from rival clubs.
The sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano, explained that at the moment there are still no talks between Musiala and Bayern Munich for a new contract. This process will take its own time and that is why other rival clubs could be involved in this equation, in case Jamal feels hesitant.
A potential transfer to England is more likely to happen than elsewhere in Europe, considering Musiala's connections to English football. The player was part of Chelsea's academy in his early years as a player, while also representing the England national team at age-levels, before choosing Germany in his professional football career. Considering the high level of the Premier League, Liverpool and Manchester City have an optimistic feeling that they can convince the player to leave Germany.
However, even if Musiala decides to start a new adventure elsewhere, the cost of transferring the player remains an issue. Bayern have set a price of around 180 million euros for the attacker, to discourage rival clubs who are looking for his signature. Manchester City and Real Madrid have shown before that they are capable of making such major investments, but Liverpool's managers have taken a different approach in the markets of recent seasons, and such a figure can be considered out of reach.
