Kobbie Mainoo is frustrated by his lack of playing time at Manchester United and Napoli are planning a fresh bid to sign him in January after a move was blocked in September.
Napoli are willing to cover Mainoo's entire salary, with the hope of bringing him into the team during the January transfer window. The Italian champions are determined to bring the Manchester United player to Napoli as soon as possible.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has indicated he is willing to honour Kobbie Mainoo's £35,000-a-week contract. He has spoken to several Napoli stars, including Kevin De Bruyne and Scott McTominay, who have hailed Mainoo as a great addition to Antonio Conte's side.
Napoli had attempted to sign Mainoo in the summer, but he decided to stay at United after Ruben Amorim, his manager, expressed his desire to keep him. However, Mainoo has only made eight appearances this season, remaining out of the starting line-up.
It is clear that Napoli are keen to take Kobbie Mainoo on an initial loan, with the option to make the deal permanent in the summer. The player knows he needs to leave Old Trafford to secure regular playing time if he is to have a realistic chance of being included in England's 2026 World Cup squad.
