Chelsea seems to have no intention of stopping in the market. According to the English media, the Londoners have moved to secure the card of the talented Arsenal striker, Folarin Balogun. The player is not in the plans of the coach Mikel Arteta, and Arsenal are willing to sell his services, believing that they can benefit from 50 million pounds for the card of Balogun.
The striker spent a fantastic season at French side Reims, where he played on loan. Balogun scored a total of 22 goals in 39 matches, as well as registered 3 assists. The player is also active with the USA national team, and helped his representative triumph in the final of the CONCACAF Nations League against Canada.
Fulham have also expressed an interest in Balogu. The English club is looking for an alternative to Aleksandar Mitrovic, who is likely to be transferred to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia. However, according to reports, Fulham is only willing to pay 35 million pounds for the talent card. French side Monaco are also monitoring the situation, and are said to be willing to pay even more for Balogun's services.
However, Chelsea remains the first option for the player himself. Despite the big spending in the market, the Londoners still need a striker, taking into account Nkunku's injury. Armando Broja is also injured. This means that Chelsea's only real option in the attacking department is Nicolas Jackson, the attacker who arrived from Villarral. Should Balogun manage to join Chelsea, the player will lead the forward line at Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku, who has returned from his loan at Inter, is not in coach Pochettino's plans. The Belgian is expected to leave Chelsea this summer, and therefore, is not seen as a real option for the team's attack.
