Chelsea are ready to make an official offer in the January transfer window for Monaco talent Aurelien Tchouameni. The latter has long been on Chelsea's radar, but interest from other clubs for the player, could complicate things for the London blues. For this reason, the leaders of the club are expected to take action in January.
During the summer transfer window, Chelsea were close to reaching an agreement with Tchouameni, but no agreement was reached. The Blues approached Saul of Atletico Madrid, in the form of a loan from the Spaniards. According to reports, Chelsea could secure the services of Tchouameni for 30 million pounds in the summer, but already Monaco can ask for more than 40 million pounds for the services of the 21-year-old.
For coach Tuchel, Tchouameni is seen as the long-term replacement for N'Golo Kante or Jorginho. Both of these players have 18 months left in their contract with the Londoners. The latter will also benefit from the return to the club of Gallagher and Billy Gilmour next season. Chelsea executives want to sign a pre-contract with the Monaco player, then concluding his transfer in the summer. This operation resembles that of the approach of Christian Pulisic, in 2019.
The player is thought to be interested in a move to Stamford Bridge, but interest in him has grown more and more from other clubs. Liverpool and Manchester United are closely monitoring the footballer, but the attention to him has increased and beyond Premier League. Two Serie A rivals, Juventus and Milan see Tchouameni as quite suitable for their game module. Meanwhile PSG is also interested, but seeing how many stars the Parisians possess in midfield, a concrete move for Aurélien Tchouaméni is unlikely to happen.
