Bayern Munich are planning to sign Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze following the success of Michael Oliseh in the Bundesliga. According to a renowned scout with experience at Manchester United and Blackburn, Eze is on manager Vincent Kompany's list of striker targets.
Eze and Olise have been close friends since their time together at Selhurst Park, and it is expected that Olise will explain the advantages of football in Germany to him, encouraging him to join him. Bayern were initially interested in Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, but after he left for Liverpool, the German club have been looking at alternatives. Eze is seen as an ideal player to join Olise, Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane in the attacking department.
The 26-year-old England midfielder and FA Cup winner has a release clause of £68m. That figure has alarmed some big clubs, but Bayern remain willing to invest to strengthen the squad. Eberechi Eze has shown he can make an impact in any game and his experience with the England national team gives him added value.
He is not the only Crystal Palace player of high interest. Marc Guehi is also in the spotlight, particularly from Tottenham, as the defender offers leadership, experience and composure in defence. Furthermore, with Cristian Romero's Tottenham contingent under discussion due to injuries, Guehi is seen as a suitable replacement to strengthen the backline.
Given Eberechi Eze's release clause and the interest of several major European clubs, Crystal Palace will have a busy transfer window from the summer. If Bayern can capitalise on Oliseh's friendship and offer them convincing prospects for his career, Eze could become part of the ambitious German project.
