According to reports in Italy, Fiorentina is ready to sell Dusan Vlahovic to Arsenal. This is because the Londoners have offered to pay 58.5 million pounds for the services of the Serbian striker. Arsenal are preparing for a future without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, whose contracts expire in the summer.
Vlahovic has entered the last 18 months of his contract with Fiorentina, and has attracted the attention of a number of European clubs, with his outstanding performances and goals in Serie A, but not only. So far, Fiorentina executives have hoped that Vlahovic would put an end to speculation by signing a contract renewal. But it seems the Serb is determined to leave, despite President Rocco's wish.
On the other hand, Arsenal is also interested in the services of Dominic Calvert-Lewin of Everton and Alexander Isak of Real Sociedad. But coach Arteta knows full well that the Fiorentina striker is the most attractive option for his plans. Former well-known footballer Ian Wright encouraged Arsenal to move forward with talks on Vlahovic's card. He also commented on the future of Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. Wright said:
"Arsenal have done fantastic business so far. I believe they also need a striker, regardless of whether the situation with Aubameyang is resolved. I heard that the striker could be Vlahovic from Fiorentina. "We need a player who can play between Lacazette and Aubameyang."
Wright added:
"I do not know what will happen to Laca, I want him to stay, but I do not know what will happen to him, but also to Aubameyang. "But if we manage to bring in a striker who is a good goal scorer and knows how to organize the game, like Vlahovic, good things will come for Arsenal."
