Tottenham Hotspur are closely monitoring Wolfsburg defender Konstantinos Koulierakis, along with Liverpool. The 21-year-old has become a key player for Greece and Wolfsburg since his transfer from PAOK in 2024.
Wolfsburg have had a difficult start to the season, finishing 12th in the Bundesliga, but the Greek international has been in fine form in most of his matches. He is now attracting interest from the Premier League and other European leagues, and a January move seems likely.
Tottenham have added Koulierakis to their list of January defender targets, according to sources. The north London club want a left-back to cover for Micky van de Ven, and Koulierakis fits that bill.
Wolfsburg have sold several high-profile defenders, including Van de Ven and Maxence Lacroix, who is currently enjoying a spell at Crystal Palace. However, Liverpool and several other European clubs are also in the running for him. Koulierakis is attracting a lot of attention in Europe due to his composure and ability as a left-back, who usually command a higher value on the transfer market.
Koulierakis has put in a superb defensive performance at Wolfsburg, surpassing Van de Ven in several key aspects. He has won more aerial duels and has a high accuracy in his passing, attempting 256 long passes with an accuracy of 43.75%. Although he is not as quick as the Tottenham vice-captain, he has shown himself to be a complete defender with great potential for the future.
