Inter Milan, Juventus and Crystal Palace are all set to make a move for Manchester City defender Nathan Aké in the January transfer window. Manchester City are open to offers in the region of €30-35m, which has sparked interest from clubs across Europe looking for defensive reinforcements.
The Dutch defender has made just five Premier League appearances this season. Inter and Juventus are both actively working to strengthen their defences this winter. Aké's tactical versatility, capable of playing as a centre-back, left-back or in a three-man defence, has made him an attractive target for Serie A's top clubs.
In addition to Italy, Crystal Palace have also entered the race, anticipating the possible departure of Marc Guehi, who has attracted interest from Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid. If Guehi leaves Selhurst Park, Palace see Aké as a ready replacement, an experienced, reliable defender who could immediately strengthen their defence.
Aké is open to a move that would guarantee him more minutes on the pitch, especially with the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaching. With competition for defensive positions in the Netherlands squad fierce, regular minutes will be essential to maintain his role as a starter for the “tulips”. Manchester City are not pushing Aké to leave, but are willing to consider reasonable offers. In addition to the main contenders, several other clubs from the Premier League and beyond are monitoring Aké’s situation.
A potential move would mark the end of a successful chapter at the Etihad, where Aké has lifted several trophies and become one of Guardiola's most reliable options. During his time at the Etihad Stadium, he has won four Premier League titles.
