Arsenal are considering a move for Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers at a crucial time for the club, with the need for a new striker becoming even more pressing following the injury to Kai Havertz.
Morgan Rogers, 23, has shown exceptional ability on the pitch and offers great versatility, being able to play in all four forward positions in manager Mikel Arteta's preferred formation. Manager Arteta has personally congratulated Rogers on winning the PFA Young Player of the Year award, recognising his exceptional talent.
However, Aston Villa are determined to keep the player and value him at £80m, a fee that would appear to be a stumbling block for Arsenal if they were to move for him. After selling Jacob Ramsey for £40m and loaning Leon Bailey, Villa do not need to sell any more players to meet Premier League and UEFA financial regulations.
Arsenal, however, are under pressure to secure another striker, especially now that Havertz's injury has left the team without a key player in the position. Viktori Gyokeres, who signed from Sporting Lisbon, is currently the only known striker in the squad. If Arsenal are to secure a centre-forward to fill the void created by Havertz's injury, names such as Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez and Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson could be possible options.
With the end of the transfer window approaching, Arsenal will need to act quickly to secure the players needed to strengthen the squad and face the challenges of the season.
