Manchester United are planning to make a £60m bid for Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton. The club's chiefs believe an offer of this level would be enough to convince the Eagles to sell the in-demand player.

He became one of Blackburn's key stars before joining Crystal Palace for £18m in February last year.
