Barcelona have identified Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as a target for next season, following the signing of Benjamin Sesko from Manchester United for £74m in August. The Catalan club are looking to sign a striker in 2026, having decided to let Robert Lewandowski's contract expire at the end of this season. Barcelona have also prepared a replacement for Lewandowski, who has scored 105 goals in 156 games since joining the club in 2022.
Sesko was highly regarded during his time with Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig, and was on the radar of many clubs before United paid a huge fee for him. Following his move to Old Trafford, it was reported that Barcelona were hurt by the move, as sporting director Deco is a huge admirer of his.
Now, Barcelona have found an alternative in Vlahovic, who is entering the final year of his contract with Juventus. The Italian club had planned to sell him this summer. According to reports, talks over a new deal between Vlahovic and Juventus have stalled, with the striker preferring to leave as a free agent, opening up a wider range of clubs.
Bayern Munich have also been mentioned as an option for Vlahovic, who has scored four goals in eight appearances for Juventus this season. However, his supporters at Juventus are still hopeful that he will find a suitable solution for his future and not leave Italy.
