Arsenal will accept a £30m bid to sell Emile Smith Rowe this summer after a season in the shadows under Mikel Arteta. Arsenal are looking to sell some back-up players to raise funds and improve their transfer budget, with Smith Rowe among their most salable assets. Smith Rowe joined Arsenal's academy aged nine, making his first-team debut aged 18, and has already made 115 appearances for his boyhood club.
During that time, the attacking midfielder has scored 18 goals and provided 13 assists, but injuries and a lack of first-team opportunities have seen his career stall in recent years. After signing a new long-term contract in 2021, his current contract runs until 2026.
However, with just 19 appearances last season, and just four of those as a starter, he has fallen out of first-team plans under Arteta. His best season came in 2021/22 when he made 37 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists.
Interested parties will be hoping he can recapture that form if given regular game time, with a fee of £30m representing a fraction of what his price tag would have been two years ago. Arsenal are looking to go further in the Premier League than the second-place finishes they have held in the past two seasons, with new signings planned to bolster their squad.
